6th International
Digital Human Modeling Symposium

August 31 - September 2, 2020, Skövde, Sweden and Online.

Open Access Proceedings

The 6th International Digital Human Modeling Symposium 2020 (DHM2020) will be held August 31 to September 2, 2020 in Skövde, Sweden as well as online.

The symposium will be hosted by University of Skövde together with Fraunhofer Chalmers Centre and arranged in collaboration with International Ergonomics Association’s Technical Committee on Digital Human Modeling and Simulation.

The symposium will take place at Assar Innovation Arena in Skövde, Sweden and online.

Scope

The DHM2020 provides an international forum for researchers to report their latest innovations, summarize state-of-the-art in the field, as well as exchange ideas, results, and visions in all fields of digital human modeling research and applications.

Topics of interest include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Anthropometry and 3D human body modeling
  • Human functional data (e.g., joint maximum strength, joint range of motion)
  • Musculoskeletal human models
  • Motion capture and reconstruction
  • Posture and motion simulation
  • Modeling for subjective responses (e.g. ingress/egress, seat comfort)
  • Applications and software demonstration
  • Virtual reality and DHM
  • Mental/cognitive models and integrated models
  • Older, disabled and other special populations
  • Verification and validation of DHMs
  • Model standards and protocols
  • Body part modelling (Spine, Pelvis, Head, Hand and Foot modelling)
  • Virtual humans appearance
  • Biomechanical modelling
  • Human vibration modelling
  • DHM in safety applications
  • DHM in game applications

2020-05-17 - New information regarding COVID-19 situation (coronavirus)

In order to allow flexibility and maintain health consciousness in these uncertain times, we have decided to organise the DHM2020 Symposium so that it will be possible to attend the symposium either on-site in Skövde or online. More information about these two options, and dates regarding registration, can be seen on the “Pricing and registration” page. We hope that this arrangement will work fine, and we look forward to seeing you in Skövde or online.

2020-04-05 - Information regarding COVID-19 situation (coronavirus)

We would like to inform you that the DHM2020 Symposium will be held on the dates planned (Aug 31 - Sep 2 2020). However, due to the current situation with the COVID-19 (coronavirus) outbreak, we might need to hold the symposium online instead. With the online solution as plan B, we want to assure you that the symposium neither will be cancelled nor postponed, and that the conference proceedings will be published as planned, regardless if the symposium will be held in Skövde or online.

2020-02-05 - Over 60 abstract submitted!

We are happy to announce that we have recieved over 60 abstracts for the DHM 2020 Symposium. All abstracts within the topic of DHM will be invited to submit a full paper. We plan to have 8 oral sessions and 2 poster sessions with short oral introduction.
